1. When forming bakelite powder, the front temperature of the barrel is 80-90℃, the rear barrel temperature is 60-80℃, and the mold temperature is 160-180℃. Therefore, a heating device is required when the mold is designed,and a heating tube is usually used.
2. The mold cavity and core chrome plating can make the molded product easy to be injected.
3. Bakelite will produce gas when cross-linking reaction occurs after being heated, so when designing the mold, the exhaust groove must be designed at the joint line or the end of the flow channel. The depth is usually 0.03-0.05MM and the width is 4-6MM.
4. Bakelite handle has high hardness and requires high mold temperature, so it is necessary to use wear-resistant mold steel, which usually requires steel with good steel strength, wear resistance and heat rsistance, such as powder tool steel.
5. Bakelite powder contains various fillers, especially containing hard mineral fillers. The hard mineral fillers wear off the mold wall like frosted. Under the high-speed erosion of the melt, the flow channels and cavity of the bakelite powder injection mold are worn. Very serious, especially the gate, so the bakelite powder gate is usually used as an insert, so it can be replaced at any time. Because of this factor, the life of the bakelite mold is set to 250,000 molds.
